All cars hired by Apex include Standard Damage and Loss Cover for no extra charge. Standard Cover has an excess (or deductible) of $2,750. This means that in the event that the rental vehicle is damaged, you are liable for the first $2,750 of any damage, irregardless of whether you are 'at fault' or not.
All City & Surf package deals include the cost of Standard Cover in the daily rate. If you prefer to have a lower excess/deductable you can upgrade your cover to either
The cost of these optional upgrades is $18/day + $22/day respectively.
Premium Cover reduces your excess (deductible) from $2,750 to $500. This means that in the event that the rental car is damaged, you are liable for the first $500 of any damage, irregardless of whether you are at fault or not.
All Carefree Coastal package deals include the cost of Premium Cover in the daily rate. If you prefer to have zero excess/deductable you can upgrade your cover to Full Cover. The cost of this upgrade is $5 /day.
Full Cover reduces your excess (deductible) from $2,750 to zero. This means that in the event that the rental vehicle is damaged you pay nothing, provided you have not voided the insurance cover.
